Denmark WA - a place for all seasons

Denmark is noted as a place to escape the heat of the WA summer, but it has attractions in every season.

Whilst summer temperatures are generally much cooler than in the rest of WA, in the other seasons the difference is far less marked. These cool days are ideal for walking and exploring and in July - October there is the added bonus of whale-watching from vantage points along the coast.

Denmark - renowned for its beaches and forests

From majestic granite cliffs to hidden, sheltered coves, - nature has excelled herself here. The much photographed, tranquil Greens Pool and adjacent Elephant Rocks will take your breath away, whilst Ocean Beach offers safe swimming as well as great surfing.

Here you can get close to nature on many walk trails along the coastline and through the forest, including the Bibbulmun Track and Denmark-Nornalup Heritage Rail Trail.

Attractions for all ages

A visit to the famous Tree Top Walk in the Valley of the Giants is a must and, for the kids, Pentland Alpaca Farm and Dinosaur World are not to be missed.

Denmark is renowned for the quality and variety of artists and craftspersons who enjoy the inspiration of this unspoiled area. Painting, pottery, woodwork, jewellery - there are studios to visit and visual treats for every taste.

The area's world class wineries await, along with gourmet delights offered at places such as Bartholomews Meadery, Denmark Farmhouse Cheese, and the Toffee Factory.
